By architect proxy we get to talk to an engineer from a construction company in Portimo.
In an extraordinary turn of events the construction company is working reconstruction on a townhouse, 50 m down the street. We can expect their work and they can take a look at our house and see what needs to happen.
On the first walk through engineer, Jorge, points to the roof and says we need to stop the water. The major problem with crumbling stones, walls and ceilings is coming from the water leaking into the house from both the terracotta tiled roof and the roof terrasse patio. The water coming from the roof, is damaging all three apartments in the house.
Before the resealing of the roof exterior can take place, the construction crew will need to reestablish water from the mains in the street and power. This turns out to become a project in itself (Project 0?).
The engineer sent me a Project 1 quote and I accept and we are go, on initial reconstruction. It will start in May 2024.

Sounds super easy, I dont it? Lets just highlight that I am trying to catch up here to get this blog into real time, so there will be complexity to this story that I am going to bundle up and drop later on.
