Wall and floor cavities

We are just about complete on all wall and floor grove, general cavity cutting and opening work.

I have updated the video archive with a new walkthrough video of the ground floor apartment, showing the wall and floor cavities and openings. See Ground floor videos.

The wall carvings will serve the platic pipes that will contain the electricity and water tubes to the different rooms and appliances. The work was quite intensive, and a little loud when you are trying to have online calls in the apartment above :-D.
The floor openings are for the AC pipes and the new sewerage pipes. The floor openings are quite large, and extensive. Small price to pay for walking on a currently somewhat unstable temporary floor and in the long run - not having put anything under the ceiling and to give up any heigth that I really appreciate about the entire apartment.

In the courtyard, the galeria wall towards the house is in place, and the floor is being prepared for the new AC pipes. The AC external unit will be placed under the new stairs going up to the mezzanine terrasse.

Most shocking development in the courtyard is that the old orange tree that was in the middle of the courtyard has been cut back to a glimpse of past glory. This has to be done before the demolition of the south wall shed and the rebuilding of the stairs. The crew told it would return to it's glory days - I am crossing my fingers for that. I have a soft spot for the orange tree, and it has been a part of the courtyard for a long time.

Other observations from the courtyard is that weeks of rain and a pool on the mezzanine terrasse has caused a lot of water to be absorbed in the walls and galeria ceiling, and to prevent more of that (because it is still raining) they cut a draining hole to let water drain to the galeria floor.
